APP [noun]
'App' is an abbreviation for a computer programmed software application that runs on the Internet, computer, mobile phone, tablet or other electronic device.
In 2008 Apple created the iPhone & Google released the Android operating system, since then people around the world from Software Developers to Students have created millions of apps for mobile devices. 'APP' Word of the Year 2010.

1. PRIOR KNOWLEDGE
Create a "comprehensive" Google Presentation documenting the following...
What are your of 2 favourite or most used apps. (Could be a game app or other)
Write a description of each app. How does it function? What are the key features? How do you navigate in the app?
What are the 'usability icons' that the app uses? Who made the apps? What are the user feedback on the apps?
Include images of each app do visually demonstrate your 2 favorite apps.

As you progress through out the app design process, add screenshots of your work to your Google Presentation
and write brief descriptions about your work.
2. APP IDEAS

Some popular categories of apps are gaming, educational, lifestyle, entertainment, utility, and travel. The best apps solve a problem that is likely to benefit a large number of people. Some apps develop out of a personal interest.

3. WIREFRAME SKETCH DESIGN DRAWINGS
Wire framing is a useful technique to start designing your app. Video to explain wire framing.
Use these templates to wire frame sketch several design layouts of your app. You will need paper and a pencil.

4. PHOTOSHOP ARTWORK
Once you have decided on your app design in stage 3, create app page artwork using Photoshop

5. POP - Prototype On Paper
Sign up for Pop, use the web application to 'mock up' your app using the Photoshop images you created in stage 4.
6. PRESENT YOUR APP PROTOTYPE
Present your app "Dragons Den" style. Prizes awarded for 1)Best app idea. 2)Most creative app. 3) Highly commended app. 4)Best app presentation 5)Enterprise award
